If you're unsure whether your Titan account is actively trading, there are several steps you can follow to verify. This guide will help you check your account's trading status using the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform.
Step 1: Check Account HistoryOpen Account History Tab:
- In the bottom-left corner of MT5, click on the History tab.
- If the tab is not visible, go to the top menu and click on View > Toolbox, or use the shortcut CTRL + T to open it.
Review Trades:
- Once the History tab is open, review the trades to see if any were placed today.
- If trades were executed, you’ll see them listed under today’s date.
Algo Trading Button:
- Ensure that the Algo Trading button at the top of MT5 is green. If it's red, trading is disabled.
- Click the button to turn it green and enable trading.
Allow Algo Trading in Expert Settings:
- Double-click on Titan (or your Expert Advisor) from the chart.
- In the Common tab, make sure Allow Algo Trading is checked.
- Market Watch Window:
- Check the Market Watch window to ensure that the market is open.
- If the time and price numbers are moving, it indicates that the market is active, and trading is allowed.
Review the Strategy’s Results:
- Even if everything is enabled, the strategy might not trade every day.
- Review your strategy’s results to see if it has days when no trades are taken.
Access Strategy Results:
- Go to the Leaderboard on Titan and click the Results icon to see how often your strategy trades. Some strategies may have no-trade days, even though most trade regularly.
Take a Micro Trade:
- To test if your account is functioning properly, you can place a small test trade.
- Enable One-Click Trading by right-clicking on the chart and selecting One-Click Trading from the menu.
Check Trade Execution:
- If the trade doesn't execute, check the Journal tab in MT5 to see if there are any issues, such as the market being closed.
Check the Logs:
- Review the Logs tab in MT5 to identify any errors or issues that may have prevented trades.
Check the Journal:
- In the Journal tab, look for specific error messages. For example, if the market is closed, the Journal will indicate this.
By following these steps, you can verify whether your Titan account is trading as expected. Remember to check your account history, enable algo trading, confirm that the market is open, and understand the behavior of your strategy. If issues persist, placing a test trade and reviewing the logs can help identify any underlying problems.
